Just Add Ink #764...Choose Two!

Happy Friday friends!

Over at Just Add Ink we have a fun Choose Two challenge! I love these, as there are so many options & combinations you can create.

I decided on my pretty new Painterly Pears dsp and Pearls as my two elements. This paper is absolutely gorgeous both sides.
I started with a base of Secret Sea cardstock, then a layer of petal Pink to match the pretty flowers in the top layer of dsp.
I then die cut one of the smaller arches from the Arched Wishes dies and die cut one of the pears from the dsp, love that the coordination of dies & images makes it way easier than fussy cutting.
Although there was a little bit of that for the sweet floral elements.

These were all popped up on top of the arch, with a linen thread bow & sentiment from the stamp set...That definitely covered the DSP element and to finish off, l have added my second element choice of Basic Pearls to the flower centers.

Colour INKspiration...#193

Evening all!

It's time for a new Colour INKspiration challenge and for this one Vicki has given us this lovely  calming pastel combination to create with.

I decided to get inky with this one and used a combination of inkpads & Stampin write markers to ink up sections of my acrylic block, misted it with water and pressed firmly onto the card panel.
The floral image is from the Mixed Florals stamp set and the greeting is from Sweet Blooms.
To finish off l have added some of the pretty Purple Fine Shimmer gems.

Another new product is the Notes & Totes dies and l've used those to create a sweet little gift tote that coordinates.
It's a combination of the 25/27 In Colour DSP stack and Perenial Lavender DSP. Cardstock is Balmy Blue.
Little details are Silver foil and a Purple Fine Shimmer gem.

Just Add Ink #762...Inspiration!

Happy Friday friends!

This weeks Just Add Ink challenge is an inspiration from Kim. She wanted us to create our project using the pic and its elements for inspiration.

I decided on my new Stampin Up! Sunflower embossing folder, as l was inspired by the pumpkin and thought it would translate well with a water coloured sunflower.

I swiped my Crumb cake inkpad on one side of the folder, popped a piece of basic white cardstock in and ran it through my big shot. This gave the debossed area some soft colour and then using water colour pencils and blender pen, l added colour to the sunflower & foliage to create a spotlight effect.

To add some timber effect, l pulled out some Cork specialty paper for the first panel and popped the embossed layer on top with some Linen thread & Adhesive Swirl dots to finish off.

Tag sentiment is from the Charming Day stamps on a Notes & Totes mini tag die cut.

Just Add Ink #760...Colour!

Good Morning friends!

Just Add Ink has a fun new colour challenge this week and Tristan has challenged us to create a project using the somewhat Christmas theme colours.

Christmas...ah, no! I for one can't even think about that yet, so l went with a birthday card using the Charming Day bundle.

Blooms are Cherry Cobbler, Foliage is Old Olive, both Stampin Blends and the card base and stamping are Crumb cake cardstock and inkpad, extra foliage is Old Olive cardstock.

Panel is a diecut from the Textured Notes dies, l love how they add that extra detail without being in your face.

To include the Gold element, l have added some Gold glimmer paper (retired) and some of the sweet Brushed Brass Butterflies...technically not gold by name, but they look like it.

Lots of lovely design team projects for this one, so click the link if you haven't already stopped by the challenge blog.

Colour INKspiration #191

Evening friends!

It is Colour INKspiration challenge time and this week Nicole has given us these gorgeous bright colours to create with.

I was a little short on crafting time this past week, so kept my project sweet and simple, creating a notecard using the Perfectly Pears bundle and Glass & Garden embossing folder.

Pear is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green and l have used a blender pen to soften it all off...Same for the leaves.
I also added a tiny bit of Crumb cake using my Stampin up! marker for the stem & dot stamp.
Flowers were stamped in Berry Burst and coloured with a blender pen and Berry Burst inkpad, with Blackberry Bliss centers.
These were all popped up onto a notecard base, embossed with the Glass & garden folder and a diecut in Berry Burst.
To finish off l have added some retired 23/25 In Col dots and a Crumb cake notecard envelope decorated with some really old & retired dsp from the 17/19 In Col dsp stack.

Just Add Ink #758...Sketch!

It's Friday! and that means a fun new challenge over at Just Add Ink  and for this one Kim has given us a lovely simple sketch to create with.

I LOVE a good sketch challenge, makes it so simple to get started and as l've been wanting to have another play with the gorgeous Extraordinary Flora Washi tape, l decided it was perfect for this one.
I had all of the little floral & foliage pieces already cut from my first play with this product, so it was a win not needing to do those bits.

I love the new corrugated embossing folder, but have yet to purchase, so using my very old and unloved crimper, l created the background panel....and YEP! it's crooked, probably why it was so unloved.

I popped the panel onto Crumb Cake base and added a banner in that as well. Once l lay out the floral & foliage bits the way l liked, l popped those up on dimensionals, added a twisted gold thread bow and punched label banner for the sentiment, finishing off with some Muted Palette Dots.

Lots of lovely design team projects, so click the link if you haven't already checked out the challenge.

Colour INKspiration...#190

Happy Hump Day friends!

Its a new challenge day over at Colour INKspiration and its all about rustic & earthy with these colours!

I'm always drawn to a tone on tone look with a pop of colour. So using the Cajun Craze for the pop, l've kept the rest in Basic Beige & Crumb Cake with a tiny hint of gold.

The beautiful "Impressions abloom" bundle worked well for easy creating as it has simple diecuts perfect for layering.

Textured panel was created using the "Glass & Gardens" embossing folder, run through twice to achieve full coverage. The sentiment is from the Birthday Celebration stamps in Cajun craze.

To finish off and add some bling, l've added some of the sweet Brushed Brass Butterflies and a Twisted Gold Thread bow.

Just Add Ink #756...Add a Belly Band!

Happy Friday friends!

Over at Just Add Ink this week we have a fun "belly Band" challenge!

My project for this one is a fun fold with belly band using the beautiful "Florals in Bloom" dsp and "Impressions a Bloom" bundle.

The colours are just so pretty and include some of the 25/27 In Colours...Timid Tiger-Strawberry Slush-Darling Duckling & Shy Shamrock, Garden & Granny Apple Green

I love this simple fold, which uses a half sheet of 12x12 dsp, scored at 2" 4" 8" & 10". Belly band is Timid Tiger cardstock 3/4" with a diecut from the Greetings of the Season dies and a 2" circle with a greeting from the Thankful Garden stamps.

To finish off l've added some of the pretty new Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink gems.

Lots of fun projects from the team, so click the link for a peek at those if you haven't already.
